Elephant’s behavior

Elephant’s social behavior is living in a society that has a family structure like a human. Males and females have different behaviors. Females spend their whole life with their family which consists of mothers, children, aunts. These groups will have the oldest female leader. But the life of an adult male elephant begins to depart from their herd and live alone at the age of 6 – 7 years. Until the male elephant is 14 years old, they will permanently separate from their family of the origin. When separated and living alone, they will return to their herd again during the breeding season.

Elephant’s eating behavior, an elephant is a hundred large animals that eat only plants and they can eat up to 150 – 170 kilograms per day.

Elephant’s sleep behavior, elephants spend 1-2 times a day resting around 21.00 – 05.00 hrs., and sleeping about 1-2 hours per day. Besides, baby elephants will sleep about 3-4 times a day, which each time takes about 10 minutes to 2 hours. When elephants get older they will sleep less. The nature of the elephants is sleeping in a standing position and the body will move slightly.
